located in the area of El Morro, east of the island
of Zapatera (National Park Archipelago Zapatera),

12 associates (men and women), the cooperative has

The families of this cooperative all come from the
north of the country, from the region of Waslala.
They came to this zone in 1995, fleeing the violence
in their native lands.
This cooperative is dedicated to traditional activities,
such as fishing, agriculture (“chagüite” =
plantain, basic grains, vegetables, fruits), and
raising big livestock (bovine), as well as small
livestock.
