UCA Tierra y Agua
we are an organisation of farm workers
which fights for our land rights, for
the development of land production and to the
improvement of our lives in communities.
We are a ground based organization, with large
rich experience in fight. Our structure is horizontal,
democratical and transparent.
The UCA was founded in 1984 under the name of
“Heroes
and Martyrs of Nandaime” . It was re-founded
in 1998 as
UCA “Tierra y Agua”
(Earth and Water). We gather 9 cooperatives with more
than 150 associated families (around 650 people) in
the south of the Granada department.
